Please come along to the walk to demand action on climate. Speakers so far include: John Kaye, Greens MLC; Jess Moore, Socialist Alliance candidate for Cunningham; George Takacs, Greens candidate for Cunningham; Genevieve Kelly, NSW secretary, National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU); and Patrick Harrison, enviro rep, Wollongong Uni students.

After speakers we'll hear from a class of students from St Brigid's, Gwynneville. They've written a song about climate change and will perform it on stage! Then we'll walk to WA Lang Park for a sustainable BBQ, stalls & entertainment.

Jess is a leading climate and renewable energy campaigner locally. Check out this footage from the 2009 Walk Against Warming that Jess helped organise. Over 700 people marched in what was Wollongong's biggest rally for climate action in years. She addressed the rally on behalf of Socialist Alliance.
